Description of the hotel:
The Airds is one of the loveliest small luxury hotel in Scotland, located on the West coast right in the Scottish Highlands. The atmosphere created is one of relaxed elegance where friendly staff are attentive and efficient, yet not too formal.
Rooms and Facilities:
Each of the eleven individually styled luxury bedrooms and suites have all recently been redecorated and convey a warm and inviting style of their own. Each room is individually decorated with designer fabrics and wallpapers from such labels as Jane Churchill, Zoffany, Colfax and Fowler and Designers Guild. Styles vary from “country house” to something a little more “boutique”. Most rooms have stunning views of Loch Linhe with the Morvern mountains behind.
All rooms have satellite TV, DVD and CD players with a choice of over 130 DVDs for the extensive library. All rooms have modern iPod docks and free Wi-Fi.
The Airds also offer luxury self-catering accommodation in one of their cottages to rent- “Bramble” and “The Old Smithy”

This gentle stroll takes you around the headland of the Appin peninsula, the track takes you past several interesting bits of rock architecture and the views down the Firth of Lorne and across to Lismore are wonderful.
Oban has a respected whisky distillery offering tours, boat trips and is the major car ferry terminal for the majority of the islands.
The most famous Highland Glen in Scotland is a 35 minute drive away. You can view scenes from the second Harry Potter film was set and offers some beautiful hiking paths.
Also activities close by are various speedboat trips, Hebridean Air Services, climbing, scuba diving and canoeing.

Connel Ferry train station is 27km away
From Glasgow take M8 west, left on to the A82. Carry on to Crainlarich and follow signs to Ballachullish and then signs to Port Appin/Lismore. The hotel is down a single track 2.5kms.
From Edinburgh take the M9 towards Stirling. Carry on to Crainlarich and follow signs to
Ballachullish and then signs to Port Appin/Lismore. The hotel is down a single track 2.5kms.
