Brief Description of Hotel:
A contemporary country house hotel in the heart of the Lake District, is set in 14 acres (5.7 hectares) of established gardens and well-maintained private woodland grounds.
The restaurant, Henrock (named after a rocky outcrop in Lake Windermere) is part of Michelin-starred chef Simon Rogan’s empire, pioneers of farm-to-fork and local foraging.

One of the most beautifully situated Windermere hotels, Linthwaite House offers luxurious accommodation, with stylish, individually designed bedrooms and bathrooms, many overlooking the lake and manicured gardens as well as the surrounding hills and mountains. Several rooms have sofa beds or take Z-beds. Two rooms are interconnected. Children's menus are available.

Try your hand at a game of boules on our pitch or an eye-catching giant outdoor chessboard invites you to play a game.
Take a stroll along our walking trails while admiring the local fauna, flora and sculptures.
Go for a cycle and explore the ‘chocolate-box’ village of Bowness-on-Windermere. There are two row boats available on our tarn and, if you’re a keen angler why not bring your fishing rod along for fishing on our private tarn.

Attractions such as Beatrix Potter's house, Grizedale Forest and Hawkshead on the far side of the lake or Ambleside and Wordsworth's Dove Cottage at Grasmere, both to the north, are all within 30 minutes' drive.
Lovely Blackwell Arts and Crafts house is even closer: five minutes by car.
